Just check the ad, there are 4 people bid on this already and the price is $450. They probably believe they get the Iphone.

Can't remember if I got the quotation just right, but that made me laugh :D.

Anyone notice the better sound in the new iMacs. Are there new speakers in there?
I haven't noticed the internal speakers being better because I don't use them, but has the sound card been changed? It sure seems to have better sound then the Early 2008 Core 2 Duo model I had before.

Regarding Health Care:
Bill Maher New Rule: Not Everything in America Has to Make a Profit (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bill-maher/new-rule-not-everything-i_b_244050.html) 23July09
Just how exaggerated is the following?:
Wow. That article pretty much sums up the way I see it all. Great read.
My problem with it isn't that businesses and people are in it for a profit (well, in certain areas). Hey, you got to make something. It's that the only thing that matters is the highest profit possible, at all costs.
If a company has made a profit of $15,000,000, but they were wanting $16,000,000 based on nothing more than their accountant's predictions, they won't settle for that $15m. They will lay off people, make others work longer, and cut salaries and benefits to achieve their "goal". It's no longer about making money...it's about making excessive money for the upper management and pleasing shareholders.
You see it in the stock market all the time. A company announces that it's profits will fall short of some astronomical assumed figure, and shareholders start selling off the stock because large profits are worse than huge profits.
While this isn't in the private market, and I'm sure someone (we know who) will find a way to say this is OK, it reminds me of a recent story I read. I think it was Texas Tech or something required all of their faculty to take a pay freeze, yet gave the football coach a half-million dollar a year raise. Not $50k, not $100k...$500k a year added to his already $1.5m a year salary. All while telling teachers there was not enough money to do anything for them. And it wasn't a contracted raise, if I recall, it was a "promise". The very fact that the coach would take that says enough to me. That's pretty sick.

It was funny to me when this started and people were talking about jailbreaking and making it so this file could not be written.
People were actually willing to make their phones not work properly because of their ignorance and paranoia.
By the way I missing the part were Jobs said this was an oversight on Apple's part. From the part quoted here, it essentially says, working as intended.
Whether there was good intent or not, I'm just thankful I installed untrackerd from Cydia; it continuously wipes the location file. JB FTW!
Speaking of the people I mentioned above... LOL. Seriously. You are impairing the functionality of your phone because you think ANYONE cares what cell towers you might have been near... In your case the ability to jailbreak is a bad thing.

I really shouldn't care about the design of cars that will most likely never become a collectable such as the Civic or modern Malibu....
Oh and you do get wow out of some family sedans, like the BMW 5 series, especially the M5, or some of the Mercs. However, not in the price range of the Malibu..

A surprising, but welcome, twist.
I thought it was the frigid version of your floor-hockey league. ;)
No- totally different group of people. Great bunch of guys.
That's actually very surprising (in a good way). People usually aren't as sensitive to that word as they are with the N word, especially straight people.
That was the thing that clinched it for me. When they told me that story, I knew I had found some good people.
May I use that as my signature? :p
Yep. ;)

Does it come with the new or old earphones?
I called the Applestore before ordering and was told it shipped with the new headphones. I'm going to complain if it comes with the old ones because that is the excuse I used to justify ordering the Shuffle. I had just recieved a Nano as a gift the month before but wanted to upgrade the buds.

Unfortunately, facts do not matter to these people, as most IT departments are clueless about TCO.
The companies that switch to Mac either have smart IT people or have Mac / iPad using executives that push the IT departments to go Mac.
Btw, human aspects seems to do better than facts. Example, white house mac,

Nintento CEO uses mac:

Also "President Obama Demos Healthcare.gov on Mac!"

While this is a cool feature, I kind of already have a boatload of rollover minutes.
That and I don't have the unlimited messaging plan.
So essentially this doesn't help me in anyway.
Give me rollover data and I will be happy. That and cheaper unlimited messaging for a single user. I can have a family plan with 5 people and pay $30 for messaging, but on my own I pay $20? Or if those 5 people had separate plans they pay $100 total for unlimited messaging.

Without even stepping into the whole "they're lying/they're not lying" debate, and since iOS and Android are the only really choices out there, I'm going with the option that doesn't have its sole business model built on knowing as much as possible about me and sharing it with third parties.
To anyone that thinks Google is giving that OS away for free for altruistic reasons, I have a bridge you might be interested in. ;)
So you go with the company that has shown that is will look for any way to make an extra buck.
I trust Google a hell of a lot more than Apple.
Now that Apple is in the ads game I can tell you they will be a lot worse about sharing your data than Google ever was and will be.

If each byte were a $1000 bill, that's still less than the US national debt of $14.3PB (again, if B were $1000 for agrument's sake)
I take it math isn't your strong subject?
US debt is approximately $14 trillion. A peta- is 1000 times larger than a tera- and you are suggesting that the debt is 1000 time larger than that. That's OK, you only missed by a factor of one million.
