I think for SL there was a timeframe (4 weeks?) for getting SL for free. Then there was a separate timeframe outside of that for getting SL for $10. I may be wrong, as I did not qualify for either.

Did you order it from Speck's website? What shipping method did you use? Do you have a estimated delivery date? Thanks.

Correction, iPad 2 have been Jailbroken, Comex is working on getting untethred and it was fix on 4.3.1, but it was JBed long ago on 4.3
Yeah, this is you can make a movie file, pretend to interact with it, and then call it a jailbreak... but there sure are a lot of people who love to spend their time making videos of "exploits" rather than putting them to use and releasing a usable product for those waiting.

I went to the 3G launch at cpw at teesside park. Queue was about 20/30 people at 7am. It opened at 8. If you know it it went from cpw down to brantano. Sold out of 16gbs about half way through the queue.
I think the town centres will be less popular and should be a better bet if you really want a particular model. Plus there's more shops - I think mbro still has two o2's and a cpw?
I hope it's easier this time as I don't fancy another early start. Hopefully other carriers will have it on thursday too to dilute the queues
Yeah, I know where you meen, I'll prob stick to one of the centres, live in yarm so they are all 10-15min drive away.
Should help that o2 are only offering them to existing customers though.

I work on 1 per watt per year based on UK electricity prices:
1 W * 24 hrs * 365 days = 8760 WHrs/yr = 8.76 kWHrs/yr
8.76 * 0.12 per kW/hr =~ 1 per year
So thats 1000 per year for 3 quad cores with 3 GTX 460 GPUs.
The other cost to consider is cooling if you are lucky enough to live somewhere warm enough to need aircon. You'll not only be paying to generate the heat, but also paying to pump that extra heat out.
Conversely, in cooler climates, you can save on heating costs - I've not had to turn the heating on this winter, despite december being our coldest on record!
I think I've reached my max comfortable expenditure, so I'm now focusing on optimising efficiency - a new 90%+ efficiency power supply saved 30W in one rig and I'm going to stop the GPUs soon - they each use 170W for 11k ppd whereas my complete 2600k i7 rig does 49k ppd on 220W

DS Download Channel (turns Wii into a DS Download Station)
Extra controller, GBA>GC style but wireless and devs can assume Wii owner has DS because... well... DS.
Upload DS saves to use on Wii games (a la Pokemon)
By DS download station do you mean downloading demos of games like you would in a gamestop

I think part of the huge markup on the BSE skins and Zagg skins, and every other companies skins are out there, takes into account loss due to delivery. The Post Office is notorious for having poor delivery reliability or damages materials en route, so these companies just absorb that into their pricing.
It makes sense, I mean, really how much does it cost to mass produce these skins? They're charging anywhere from $20 - $40, for materials that cost maybe $3-$4 to mass produce.
Don't get me wrong, I really like my BSE skin, and think it's worth the price, but you should expect good customer service with such a huge markup.
I would say you're spot on with that estimate since they all offer "lifetime warranties" that you conveniently have to spend 3 or 4 bucks to get :)

As opposed to travelling accidentally? :D
Seriously though, you have my sympathies; roaming rates are horrendous. We often complain about "high prices" here in NZ but we really don't understand how lucky we are; unlocked phones, no falling back to 2G, don't pay for incoming calls...
That was the iPad auto spell check. That should read "internationally."

Let's hope that's the case! My iPad 2 is a paperweight without jailbreak :)
I can't wait to install infinifolders again, hate having 3 different game folders. Also retina pad will be nice. Actually do miss installous I purchased an few ipad apps that I wish I would have tried first (Yes I actually do buy apps, just like trying first). Damn GV Connect was supposed to let me make calls using Google voice, but you have to install another app that is only iPhone sized.

Same VGA cable each time? How long? Old? New? Does the VGA cable itself work wih other devices as expected?
Could also be bad mini-DP to VGA converter.
Thankyou for the reply.
The VGA cable is integrated in the miniDP-VGA adapter, about one meter long. But i've tried with an apple adapter + VGA cable that i usally use with my PC, same problem... :( I tried on a Mbacbook pro 13' and there is no problem..
Sounds like that 9400m video card is crappy.. or at least mine.. :(

Actually yes lol, I'll dig up my MBP box and show you (just got it a month ago).
Aw, then that's bad news for the ACDs... but perhaps good news for new MBPs? :D

Hey All :)
I've finally taken a picture I want to make a large print of.
At work I have access to a huge printer that does A0, A1, A2 and A3 prints (americans if you don't use the same paper size tell me and I'll get the measurements, not sure if you do  I'm in the UK..)
I have no idea how large I can print my picture decently.. I have an 18 megapixel 550d and I'd print from a TIFF file which was saved from the CR2 after messing around with it a bit (is that the right thing to do)
Basically I have no idea what kinda size it could go up to, and I don't get DPI and how changing it ends up relative to the photo quality and why you wouldn't just set it at the maximum every time..
So yeah, I'm pretty confused about this, if someone could shed some light on this one that'd be good thanks :)

I may be wrong, but doesn't iTunes convert WMA songs automatically? I'm working on switching over a friend and got him to use iTunes as a start and I think he said when he imported his WMA's it converted them...

Mac OS isn't Microsoft Windows so it's best to adopt the Mac ways. Learn to use "drag and drop" which is implemented much better in Mac OS than Microsoft Windows. Folders spring open which helps navigating to the destination, however you can also drag to the desktop and then drag from the desktop to the destination. If you are moving a group of files, they will stay grouped on the desktop and don't have to be reselected.

That's absolutely crazy numbers.
Glad I am an apple share holder.

Apple will be trillion dollars company...
How many thousands of shares do you own?

Creative for one.
I doubt very much whether Creative would p*ss off Apple having just been given a $100m end of hostilities settlement.
How hard can Fairplay be to crack? If this guy can do it I'm sure most major software/hardware/telephone companies could find a way, but they choose not to. If they did, what would stop Apple from hacking WMA and basically declaring DRM dead?

I agree.
Tho I really wonder who is using Facetime? I know everyone talks about it like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it's like the webcam on my mac, yeah it's nice to have when I call my mom across the country, but it's something I'd use about 0.01% of the time, and if I were going to use it, it's more likely I'd tell my mom to get on the computer and skype me on my computer to have full screen HD video chat...
I use FaceTime every other night to speak with my daughter.
