XLD (http://tmkk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/xld/index_e.html) is great and my personal favorite.
Definitely have a look at xACT (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14246), too.

Sorry let me clarify, I'm @ BB in SLC. There is just me here, well my chair and me. At 4PM they give you a ticket so you don't have to wait in line for the last hour. So stupid.
I'm going to be heading down to BB on 2100 South in a few. Are you (alfmoonspace) still the only lonely person in line?

My thoughts exactly! ;)

Sup guys,
Ive got a iphone 3gs that my friend gave me to JB and Unlock. Its running IOS 4.2.1 and i wanted to restore to 4.3.2 for a fresh start to JB. When I tried to restore kept giving me (1015) error messages, I also tried the restore on a Mac and another Win7. Ive been researching on the Internet for the past 3 days! I downloaded so many programs its not even funny. I tried ~~~ Reb00tMee - iReb - Blackra1n - Recboot - iRecovery - TinyUmbrella - LibUSB - and also tried to downgrade iTunes and do all that - and many other things!! :o:o:o:o:mad:
Plz help me on this!
P.S. The symbol that the iphone is stuck on is the `Connect to iTunes` AND I AM NOT TRYING TO DOWNGRADE I AM JUST TRYING TO DO A REGULAR RESTORE. Ive done many JB's as well.
HELP!~!~!
is you phone on 6.15 baseband? if so the only way to restore is using a custom firmware which you can make yourself using a tool called sn0wbreeze
hope this helped :D

ABC News reports (http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/ZDM/story?id=2537247)For some reason, T-Mobile's Chief Executive Robert Dotson reportedly discussed "at some length about how Apple's and T-Mobile's visions seem to be aligned."
This is a total no-brainer. T-Mobile doesn't have it's own network, it rents its airtime from Cingular... Apple and Cingular are already in bed. It's a trickle-down effect... T-Mobile wants their own iPhone. Not surprising, really. (and yeah, release the Cracken! (err.. iPhone!)...

yeah, i totally understand what you're saying. android definitely does a lot more straight out of the box than the iphone does. but i guess for me, if i had an android device i'd really like to be able to flash some really cool builds and kernels a lot of the guys at xda-dev release (like we all used to do on the old winmo days) that way i don't have to worry when the manufacturer quits releasing updates after ~6 months and i get stuck on an old os. i just hate the fact those manufacturers are trying to prevent that type of community from doing their thing.
Well that's kinda hypocritical posting in an Apple forum. Apple tries 100x harder to prevent users from jailbreaking than Android\Manufacturers do try to prevent rooting\modding.
Either way, I like current technology, so I don't worry about updates after 6 months. I replace my computers every 6 months, and my phones as well. This was one of the reasons I defected from Apple's phones, got tired of waiting for a one-a-year product cycle for a phone that wasn't even the latest and greatest technology.

So my iphone 4 is in the mail and I'm now dealing with the challenge of transferring my info over. Is there an easier way to transfer my contacts? I know google stores all contacts in the cloud but that would take a while hand typing them over.
Any tips from previous Android users that switched?
(I own several iOs devices so im aware of the general workings)

Its all about convergence.
If your on the go then its more convenient to play games on a smartphone - one device than carry around two.
At the moment - drawbacks over portable gaming consoles - (1) battery life (2) games on smartphones tend to have a lot less content.. but smartphone games tend to be signficantly cheaper. If you want a game containing depth then your not going to be looking at your smartphone at the moment.
In some countries its totally fine to watch TV on your smartphone too...

PM what your outright selling price would be for the Touch. I have an 8Gb Touch and I'm looking to upgrade a bit. When was it purchased again? What date? Just so i know how long the warranty is on that.

Hi,
i hope i can explain this correctly.. I am making a page that creates a 3d pie chart for the different types of calls my work has. I have a MySQL database that has jobs and referrers.. Anyway thats not imporant.. what I need to pass to the pie chart is the top 10 best referrals. The two bits of data for each record i have are...
$referrer[] (pulled from a Jobs table in my database)
$referrercount[] (a count of all jobs for that referrer query)..
I know php has a sort feature but i need the 2 variables to stay in sync. I know i need to use a 2 dimensional array but I really am struggling to understand them. can someone give me a code example using the following data...
$referrer[0] = "Company A"
$referrercount [0] = 300
$referrer[1] = "Company B"
$referrercount [1] = 500
$referrer[2] = "Company C"
$referrercount [2] = 100
I hope this makes sense..?

Hi Everyone,
This is my first macrumors.com posting! Nice to meet you, *wave, wave*. :) Im a pretty indecisive person so the questions Ive been grappling with over the past few weeks have been pretty overwhelming! (Sorry for the long posting, but please read it. I need your help!)
Basically, heres the dilemma. My 12 Powerbook (bought in Aug 2003) stopped liking me sometime ago (about a year) and has been giving me kernel panics. Now I get them 2-3 times a day! (In fact, Im writing this posting in Word so I can save it because Ive had 2 kernel panics while writing this! Darn, I hope I can get something for it on eBay.) So it is definitely time to move on especially since Ive been to the Apple Store several times and they always have a different story as to how to fix it. And no I dont have Apple Care. (Most recently they told me it would cost $350 just to send it to CA to look at!! Forget that!)
So after reading several macrumors.com postings =) Ive decided to order a 14 iBook with Apple Care protection and a 60 GB iPod (w/ $179 education mail-in rebate). Problem is that I want to order an iBook special order with 80 GB (I need the extra 20 GB for all my graphic design stuff and Im terrified of external drives, have heard they die on people! Yikes!). The Apple Store in the mall wont do special orders in store so I have to order it online.
I heard that the Apple Credit Card is offering 120 days same as cash so I applied for it online and got approved for only enough to cover the laptop. But in order to get the $179 iPod rebate I have to order them both at the same time. Therefore I have to use 2 credit cards. Apple Online accepts only 1 credit card. Same goes for 1-800-My-Apple.
So I sauntered over to the Computer Store on campus. The people there were very friendly and helpful and offered to do a special order and use 2 credit cards. They also offered to call up Apple Credit Card and see if I could get 120 days same as cash even though its not directly from Apple. But they said No. So I waited a few days for inspiration to decide for me. Got worried about waiting (Sept 24th is last day for rebate and PB is failing) and so ordered from the Computer Store on campus, put down 10 percent, and walked away with a new 60 GB iPod.
Then this morning I got a call from Apple Credit Card saying that guess what? They got a call from someone (the computer store?) and now they can up my limit to just barely cover 14 iBook plus Apple Care plus 60 GB iPod. So now I can order it online. Good news and bad news. I called up the Computer Store and they said theyd cancel my order and refund my 10 percent down payment if I brought in the new 60 GB iPod that I would receive from the online order (I already opened the iPod I brought home from the store). But now Im wondering if its worth it to order it online anymore. I would save $120 tax plus $100 in finance charges and might be able to use a coupon code if I can find an unused one on this website. However Id have to go through the hassle of canceling my order from the Computer Store (plus my guilt that they went through all that trouble and didn't land a sale).
THE DECISION: I need to decide whether to order from Apple Education Online Store or from the Computer Store on campus. I NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO ASAP! (Because Ill have to cancel the order at the Computer Store very soon if I decide to do so!)
Online Advantages:
No Tax (saves $120)
Maybe use coupon?
120 days same as cash financing (Saves about $100 or so)
Can charge everything to one finance-free card (refund $ to other CC used in down payment)
Less worry about whether the iPod rebate will be verified (no split payments and also direct from Apple)
Online Disadvantages:
Hassle of canceling order at Computer Store & bringing back new online iPod
May not get Apple Care (I heard that if Apple notices that its sent to a FL address they cancel the Apple Care? Call and check?)
Must wait longer to get computer (comes from China, 1-2 weeks)
Can only talk to Apple Customer Service if there are problems
Purely speculation, but I hear that some iBooks are screwy and maybe direct from China iBooks are more screwy than if you order it from the store?
In Store Advantages:
Get computer faster (Next Tuesday, Sept. 20)
Direct people I can talk to if I have any problems
Can order more products now on my increased limit Apple credit card since I've already charged part of my order to another card (Can order Apple Mouse and Keyboard and cases for iPod and iBook)
In Store Disadvantages:
Wont get same-as-cash financing (Will lose about $100+)
Must pay Tax (Will lose about $120)
Must go to school to pick it up (not shipped directly)
P.S. Once I make my decision Ill post what option I decided to go with! Thanks for your help! :)

Yes.
Yes, as long as it's a real CD and not one of those wacky not-really-CD things with bizarre copy protect schemes. Even most of those can be brought into an iPod, though.
Thanks.

This looks like just another sim overlay solution. Nothing is done to the phone. They use a small IC and just trick the phone into thinking it has an authorized sim in it.
These are not new.
No it is not. The unlock is done through iTunes.

And good riddance. VPC, Office Mac and Macromedia Studio 8 under Rosetta are the only apps I've found that can do an accurate job of emulating OS X running as sluggish as Windows.

hmm..., I was in college back then.
I was sleeping when the first plane crashed. One of my roomates woke me up and said something like "wake up dude, I think World War III has just begun" (talk about a surreal way to wake up). When I got up the news guy was talking about an attack on the pentagon.
Classes had been suspended that day (due to a a bad storm that had flooded some streets), so we stayed all day at home glued to the TV in complete shock and disbelief.

Those 2 mentioned were the lower default resolutions and I believe the others were 1280 x 720, 1280 x 768, 1368 x 768. I like the 1280 x 720 but most recent games only get maybe 8 - 15 fps at that resolution.
Then you are out of luck :( 1280x720 is 16:9 but it is understandable that the MBA can't run the newest games at that resolution. Have you turned all other settings to as little as possible?

Mine won't install the Win7 Service Pack 1 - it just constantly fails. I've tried every suggestion I've been able to find, mostly from the SevenForums.com site, to no avail.
From the litle bit of research I've done, it seems there are issues with Win7 updates with MBP as well as other machines.
I really think it's a Microsoft issue since it's happening with all different brands of hardware.
I guess we'll just have to wait for MS to release "fixed" updates. :(

Agreed, a little more detail would help.
I can only assume that a setup is already in place which would preserve the internet speed and local transfers. That setup is mostly wired from what I read and you possibly want to make use of Wifi. I'm also guessing that those 60 connections might be devices or services?
