Would an InvisibleShield be better than a case for the 4th Gen iPod touch? I only want the back to not get scratched (at all) and the front not to crack if I drop it.
If it isn't, then what case would you reccomend

Ok. Just stupid again. Just needed to re-install adobe reader. Geez, that was not a tough fix.

It's definitely one hell of a light pc that's for sure... I wish they'd include touch screen capabilities with the Air.

I thought the Klipsch S4 were too muddy and the RE0 had good clarity but not enough bass. I've tried about 10 IEM's and the Klipsch X5 is my favorite. It's got 90% of the clarity of the RE0, it has nice punchy bass, and is not muddy like the S4.

i had screen artifacts and then a lock up before. i hoped it was not the mobo. so i cooked my graphics card at 400 degrees in the oven. and now it's back to normal. if you see screen artifacts it's usually a graphics problem. (from my experience since the old ibooks. do you have apple care? if you do. try to record the problem on video and take it to the apple store.

I'd be surprised if anyone would buy anything this old, as it is probably too slow to do anything productive, and even the parts are so outdated that they would be of no use to anyone. You might get more interest if you offered to give it away for free, but in all honesty, if I owned such a machine these days, I would simply throw it out.
Sorry if I sound a little harsh. Just being realistic. :)

So in theory Apple wont release Bluray until they release compatible displays. We could be waiting a long time before we see Bluray as an option then on Macs!
Sometime this year... Montevina MBP with Blu Ray burner, HDCP ACDs with HDMI and Blu Ray drive option on Mac Pro, then. :D

I remember exactly where I was when I heard that. I shot home after work for the news. Walther Cronkite always handled pain so well.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a basic, 4 port USB 2.0 hub. I want it to be small (to throw in my laptop bag without it taking up a lot of room) and somewhere between $10 and $15. Most retail for around $20 new, but I'm willing to take a used one (as long as it works obviously) to save me money and give you money for a USB hub you don't need anymore. Let me know if you have one.
Thanks

He should discuss detailed and undisclosed information about Leopard on his website and to the media while he is at it.
No, that would be breaking an NDA. The details of Fair Play are not under NDA. Not many of us signed an agreement with Apple so we are free to look inside a music file and tell the world what we see inside but no so with Leopard if there is an agrement not to.
BTW the developer's pre-release of Leopard contains no secrets. Anyone can get a copy and use it if they pay a fee to become a developer.

I really know that most of the people here are mac fanatics when they actually endorse "Pages". It is the slowest, worst, piece of cr*p Apple ever produced. I have the UB iWork 06 version now and it still sucks!
Not everyone agrees, do they? Many Mac "fanatics" prefer Word. This one prefers Pages.

i haven't actually chosen the TV yet, will be a 42" HD LCD is all i know for sure.
i am not worried about an incredible frame rate or anything, i only get 15 FPS now! but i was told that using DVI to TV will actually cause WoW to crash. i am not sure why, but that is the word on the warcraft board, so i thought i would see if anyone else had experience there.
i am not sure if this is an issue only with the intel machines, or only with DVI, if perhaps component works, etc, that is why i am looking for other experiences.
...i hope they update the mini soon, i am ready to buy, and the mini is due a refresh. ;-)
That's odd. For fun I hooked my comp up to my projector through DVI so my older brother could enjoy some ridiculously large WoW and it worked without issue. It was running from a G5 though, so I have no idea if it's just a an issue with the mini's.

Anyone notice that Volume Logic does not work in iTunes 7 or is that just me?
Well, I do know the Volume Logic is **still** in Beta testing for Intel Macs. I wasn't aware that VL for the PowerPC chips. was encountering playback problems.

I would take my iPod and Mac to the Apple store, but my warranty is out. It's been out for a long time too. And yes, I am using the Last.fm Scrobbler.
This is the likely source of your problem. The last.fm scrobbler doesn't deal particularly well larger libraries and larger capacity iPods. When you plug in your iPod the scrobbler will attempt to scrobble your plays from the iPod. While it does this, it completely freezes iTunes. If you open up Activity Monitor, you will see iTunes using 100% of your CPU resources on one of your cores. I have a 3 GHz MacPro and it freezes my iTunes for 2-5 minutes. iTunes is not multi-threaded, so it will only use one core/thread.
There is a temporary solution involving the deletion of one of the last.fm scrobbler logs. I'll see if I can find it. You could turn off iPod scrobbling, which will solve the problem. You may also want to try a different scrobbler. Unfortunately, it's probably an annoyance you'll have to live with if you want to scrobble.

I am curious as to how you (the forum) has your MBP's or MB's set up on your desks. A picture would be nice. A picture of my desk is attached.
Not shown: Harmon Kardon speakers. Logitech speakers. External USB (blue) Seagate HDD, and AirPort Express.
What is shown: 18.5" acer display, 13" MBP, wired Apple Keyboard, wireless magic mouse, Apple remote, original iPod nano box, original iPhone box, 13" MBP box, and Epson CX7400 series printer.
