Hi,
Microsoft kills basically everything.
They pretty much killed the netscape browser, they pretty killed other office suites, they are going to tery to kill the iPod now?
What next after that?
ERR.
One thing they have'nt killed yet is the Mac OS operating system.
Getting more and more upset at them.

Shot out of the window on a recent trip back from Pittsburgh. I was a bored passenger and decided to experiment a little. Came across a stretch of trees and thought a longer exposure would make an interesting photo. It's fairly drab, but I like the earthy tones it exhibits. Reminds me of some abstract art I've seen.

Almost every song Ive come across on iTunes that costs 1.29 is the musical equivalent of a Michael bay movie.
Also I wish someone besides apple would sell songs in something besides mp3, these days we should be able to download the wav file and convert it to whatever we want.

I don't mind the looks of it. I have the iPhone 4 and after getting the iPad 2 feel like the 4 is too boxy. Love the curved sides of the iPad 2.
Wondering where the antenna is on this mock up. Is it the entire back? What is the outline around the side view? A clear covering? Or just artwork?

Beaten in terms what what?
The entire Android platform only generates 1 billion dollars per year in revenue for Google.
On the flip side, the iOS platform generates 1.4 billion dollars per quarter through the iTunes store for Apple.
Google hasn't found a way to significantly capitalize on Androids market share and that is a major loss. Hell, Google could take over the other 30% of the market held by RIM/ect. and the yearly Android revenue would still be below Apples quarterly revenue for the iOS platform.
I dont know if Google want Android to be a pure moneyspinner. They're already better off with smartphones accessable to more people which in turn means more people online doing searches, using their services and data mining. OEMs like HTC, samsung, lg, zte and chipset makers will be the real breadwinners of Android if they can push successful products based on the OS.

Oh I found it: CrossOver Mac. Not sure if it will support Vista though.
Seeing as Crossover doesn't require MS-Windows, it doesn't "support" any version thereof. It emulates Windows APIs.

If I own a PC and I want to run Vista, why would I want to also run Vista, on the same machine, in a virtual environment?
For Mac users, why would we want to install Vista-(via BootCamp) and then also use it under virtualization?
More importantly, for Mac users, why would we *want* to run Vista at all? :D Oh, you *have* to for some reason? Sorry to hear that...very unfortunate. :p

Apple is using the same CPUs as everyone else, for which their enclosures are extremely competitive in terms of dimensions.
You get it partly wrong. It's true that Apple is not using special chips. They use some of the chips that all other companies use. But they do not use many of the chips the users would want to have. The reasoning might differ - whether it's the case or the motherboard, but the end result is the same - limited choices. Like no quad core CPUs in laptops before SandyBridge was released (wrong TDP), or sticking with outdated C2P for years.

Are we going to create a grave or a shrine to him? My hope is, that has been well documented with witnesses galore.I imagine footage will be leaked at some point.

I like what you have going on here. Great detail on the girl / hair too, bokeh is pleasing and vibrant. Epic shoot locale. Tell her to stand up straighter next time and I think it would be flawless. Fill light could go one notch down too.
I love this photo you know. Very good color harmony with the dress too!

I kind of have everything I want, so I guess I want me and my girlfriend to be happy for another year?
Forget that.
I want backyard lawn furniture for the coming summer months, and a Dell Streak once it gets a newer version of Android. :D
I'll probably get the lawn furniture, but I definitely won't get a Dell Streak with 1 year left on a 2 year iPhone contract.

Windows Phone 7 might be a joke of a platform but Microsoft is going the right direction with the elimination of UI chrome.
Sadly, it looks like Apple's moving the wrong direction on the desktop.
Fake leather graphics have no functional purpose. This is what they're spending their time on?
I guess now that Macs are only 20% of Apple revenue, we're getting the "B-team" developers and designers. I give Mac OS X 3 more years, tops, before it's Apple ]['d in favor of iOS entirely.

What?
Seriously dude, you're in the wrong thread.
This isn't the "What Is Your Wish?" or "Random Thought For The Day" thread.
People are talking about tax returns and yes I spent about everything I made on my computer, I am a full time college student. And half the posts in this thread are about who started it and why they started it so early...

Problem is the App Store. I don't think Apple thought about this in regards to the Mac App store having larger programs. Sure the iOS App store is easy....most apps are small.

Yay - I see a full-screen button! Since I give most of my programs their own Spaces, this will be very nice.

You would assume correctly. :)
It is a very good series. However, I do not have covers for them. :D
