I guess I must be old school, I'm a consumer and I think about my wallet before the corporations treasure chest. Apple isn't pumping most of the profits back int the company or paying it out to shareholders. It's sitting in the bank. Or maybe they have something unimaginably huge in mind and I guess that is a possibility.
Hasn't Apple's success helped you think about your wallet? Companies are just now being able to price-match the iPad.

I don't think Apple TV is what the product is, it's too difficult to use some apps only with the IR remote control.
I'm going for an iOS App store and Mac store integration, some of the apps that have been built for iPad could run perfectly on a Mac, and the other way around, plus, Steve even said that they would bring their best technologies "from the iPad to the Mac and with the new multi-touch gestures we believe our Macs will become more intuitive than ever".
This way, all the apps in your iDevices and Macs would be synced at all times.
Either that or Apple's new HDTV with a completely new input method that could let you use iOS apps on your TV properly, but I really don't think this is very likely.

My favorite iPhone design was the first one. Bring back the aluminum and rounded sides. It's not comfortable to hold this iPhone 4 brick!
It's just a matter of what you're used to. I love my IP4, and my wife's 3GS feels clunky to me. Cognitive dissonance says you'll end up defending whatever you have and resist changes. Just human nature, not good/bad design.

I'm not sure at what price point predatory pricing becomes an issue, but I would think that Amazon may have crossed that line.
Predatory pricing becomes an issue for Amazon after it dominates the market place and sets its prices significantly lower than the competition in an attempt to drive them out of business. So, let Amazon capture 70% or 80% more of the legal music download market and then maybe bring up predatory pricing.
If Amazon is selling music at a loss per song, then the FTC might have a say about that.
Has no one in this thread heard of a 'loss leader' before? Movie tickets at a theater? Loss leader. Gas from a gas station? Loss leader. Anything on sale (especially Black Friday)? Loss leader. iTunes Store? Yup, some loss leading going on there too.

I think HTC needs to find a drawing board and a good one cause all their recent phones have looked almost the same.
Apple must be worried, I know. :rolleyes:
The HTC designs are all very good and made well. At the end of the day its hard to make phones look different. They are basically a large screen now. Lets just hope apple fix their breakable glass designs lol.

Did anyone catch the Chuck Lorre Productions "vanity card" at the very end of this week's episode? I usually don't pay attention to the show, but I do watch Mike & Molly right afterward. I briefly saw Charlie Sheen's name on it, and had my wife rewind and pause it on the DVR.
In it, Chuck Lorre did a little joke at the whole situation, something along the lines of "I don't drink or smoke, I eat right, I exercise....", and at the very end, "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm going to be really pissed."
Quite possibly the first time I ROFL'd at that show.

And yet prices in the Australian Apple Store are still 25% higher than the USA Store. How rude, Apple.
Top end 27" iMac = US$1999, or in the Australian Store, AUD$2299 which at the current exchange rate is about US$2500. Why should we pay more, Apple? If anything, we're closer to China so should pay less on shipping!
Whilst it's slightly better than yesterdays prices, I'm still seriously not happy.
I'd buy one if we got the USA prices.

I want to be able to move several events to another day or time, and since there's no "shift event times" feature, I want to at least be able to cut and paste them and remain in their original calendar! This happens every time there is a change in a day's schedule where several events have to happen sequentially.
For instance, let's say this is my typical monday schedule

So I can charge more money for 2 platforms! Thats why (I think) the SlingPlayer app will not be universal. If you want to get the iPhone and iPad app it will be $60 instead of $30

Sorry everything isn't free. If $20/Year is "too much" for some, maybe you guys should rethink having the internet or a cell phone as well.

Why concede? I think we are examining obesity pretty well as a group. Furthermore, the current level of obesity is really everyone's problem, as the level affects our society as a whole.
This lady in question though blows my mind as the article has framed it to appear that her goal is to gain weight. Perhaps the article misinterpreted what she meant.
Because I feel I've made my point. I'm arguing against the stereotypes and prejudices, not the effects on society and healthcare, or mental dysfunction.
