As long as my daughter is in there, I will have a say who goes in the bathroom. my daughter isn't a woman yet, she is a girl, and I will do whatever it takes to protect her. Like it or not, I think gender bending is wrong, and people like you will not be in the bathroom with her. When she is finished, it is all yours.

I'm curious as to what you think my "life style" involves that's incompatible with yours or anyone else's? I don't need "nurturing" nor do I need everyone to agree with me all the time. I've been around this forum for a while now, I've met probably approaching 100 members at one point or another, more than a couple of whom have posted in this thread. Please don't indicate that I'm unwelcome here, reality disagrees.

I'm also bemused by the fact that you seem to think that you own public restrooms, if you want to hold your daughter back from using it while someone you disapprove of is using it then sure, while I disagree with your motives that's your own prerogative. If however, hypothetically, you were to block me from entering, we would however have a situation on our hands, assuming your threats of violence hold true. You would be the one they would arrest.

Yes, the iPhone does compete against Android. The last time I went into a AT&T or Verizon store, this was obvious. To say that the iPhone does not compete against Android is silly.

Progress is good, but I don't see any killer apps which will make me upgrade day 1. This might change, but really 10.4 does everything I need it to do so far.
I guess my pro apps will probably force me to upgrade at some point.
Does anyone else get a kitten ichat image with the third spotlight image? Is that a new feature? (/me missed something.)

Anti glare is not matt. The old imacs with matt screens were impossible to calibrate and had terrible issues with 'white-out'. The glass screens are a massive improvement and anyone with half a brain cell can sort their set up so that glare is a non issue.
Says the guy who must live in an apartment with the shades drawn, or his parents basement, or some other wonderful computer dungeon.
I am surrounded by windows, wonderful views, and don't want to close all my blinds and and be in the dark so that I can use my awesome reflective computer monitor. I appreciate that the glass may be wonderful for some, but understand that it is awful for others. The option for a matte screen is logical. Open your mind, respect the views of others, and stop being a tool.
Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I don't even have half a brain cell.

If true, it could be absolutely huge. Truly landmark. Imagine if Apple could somehow do the the TV industry what they did to nearly every other industry (segment) they're in?
The possibilities are pretty astounding. This is the Apple of folks. They have the money, drive, talent and momentum to get into any market and shake things up with a very good chance of success, and make the established players look totally flat-footed in the process.
We should let the NUMBERS (or $$$) speak for themselves.

Apple seems to be really enjoying making people buy new iphone/ipad every 1 or 2 years. At $500 or so, it's easier for consumers to swallow. And the consumer knows he/she will spend a lot of time using it.
At $1000 - $2000 (TV with profit margin Apple likes), # of people willing and able to pay that every 1 - 2 years goes down alot.
And let's not forget Apple won't enter a market if they don't get to have a huge profit margin.

Once again the drones at Microsoft can't come up with anything new so they spend all their money trying to muscle in on something someone else had the vision to create. I hope they fail big time.
By the time M$ get any sort of marketshare Apple will be onto something new and innovative that that Big Bill will have to throw even more $$$ down the drain to catch up.
Jobs must be laughing his A*** off, he's forced M$ to create something that's going to lose them money, whilst Apple turns a tidy profit on each iPod sold!

The Might Mouse is the worst piece of crap Apple has ever released. Everyone knows it!
The only reason anyone would buy this thing is because of blind Apple brand loyalty.
That and the fact that it matches my iMac better than any other mouse. But still, I'll use my Logitech wired until Apple can come up with a decent mouse. Form only gets you so far.

Will it support playing graphic intensive Windows games? That's the only think Parallels doesn't do for me. Also, is there any indication of a price?
Competition is always good, but they're going to have their work cut out for them to get me to switch away from Parallels.

Have you seen the pictures in Nilay Patel's article about the suit (http://thisismynext.com/2011/04/19/apple-sues-samsung-analysis/)? They copied the look of the iPhone, exactly. Hell, they even copied some of the icons -- the Phone icon, the iTunes icon. Why would they make the phone icon a white handset angled up and to the right on a green background if they weren't deliberately trying to make it look like an iPhone?
If you're Apple, you absolutely have to sue over this. Otherwise you're saying, okay, anybody who wants to can just make a clone that looks exactly like the iPhone. Anyone who owns a valuable brand has to defend it.

The angled phone has been standard for phones since forever, it was usually the phone itself that was green, the only thing Apple did was making the background green instead. Very generic. Even the standard position for it, the lower left corner, is simply because that's where a phone answer button is normally located.
Chat icon? The only likeness I can see is that it uses a speech bubble, which have been a norm for IM applications since long before Apple introduced iChat. Note that Samsung added a smiley-face.
Nature images and particularly flowers have been a popular motif for photography-related stuff. Camera makers have been using it since the advent of photography.
Gearwheels for settings and configuration? Everyone have been using it since the birth of the GUI
Notes and contacts, both trying to look like their real world counterparts, extremely generic

I don't see how market share helps Amazon, in this case, if they are losing money on it and have no off-setting profit generated by the loss.
Also, I wonder when this comes into effect. I was just at the Amazon store and most the music I looked at was at $1.29 or $.99 a song - I only saw one $.69 song. Of course, my tastes don't trend toward a lot of pop.

It's a small difference, but enough that the white iPhone 4 wouldn't fit in his Incase slider case:Just picked up the white iPhone 4 and realized it doesn't fit into my Incase slider case. It appears that Apple has increased the size of the plastic that borders the glass on both sides by about 1mm.

Why? Any manufacturer can grab it for free instead of paying a fee. Makes sense they would flood the market with lots of copycat Android models. Just look at the Asian market where there are hundreds of Android phones, many of whom are Android in name only (cannot use the Android App market, etc.) but useful to the knockoff phone manufacturer who can grab it free, slap it into their devices and sell their stuff as "Android" to the marketplace. Given that there are hundreds of different Android model phones, it's a wonder it isn't even more popular than it is.
