You named all of your other entries. What do you want to call this one?

May need more info? It's almost like you're asking "I have eight fenders, a bumper, 6 sets of tires, three engines and a can of paint. What kind of car should I build and where should I park it?".

I can't find the "Palm Trees" one. I got it on Google, and now I can't find it. If I do, I will post it here.

Even though FCPX Was just announced there was no word on the other FCS apps....
Well, as I understand the different rumors and announced features of FCPX, the new version has absorbed some of the tools in the other apps. For the rest, I doubt that they release the new FCPX without releasing the other updated sister apps at the same time, perhaps sold separately - but not likely that the full suite will go for over the current price.
IMO, waiting a couple of months would be a safe bet - specially when FCPX is a completely revamped version with very good upgrades. And, if for any reason one thinks FCPX is inferior in any way, you will be able to get the current version at a much lower price then.
Just my 2c
cheers!

My question is, is it a worthwhile upgrade? or is it just better to leave it with the 2.4ghz and get a better hard drive.
Great question. Unfortunately you don't provide any information that would help us advise you. Since you're asking the question, it probably makes no difference at all.

I just joined MacRumor's seti@home team.
I had communication problems when I tried to connect to folding@home,
but when I have a few minutes, I'll give it another try.
When it works, the Verizon NationalAccess cardbus card is great!
Original core duo mac mini, powerbook g4 (1.67Ghz). Someday I'll load the boinc client on my dual core G5, emac G4, and G4 mini. But not today.

One question for you Arn. When you first started this site, would have expected it to have turned into what you see today or were you hoping for something else?
Overall, I like how things have turned out...
Ideally, I would like to be able to put more time into the design/graphics of the site... but it does what it needs to at the moment.
In terms of functionality, I would have liked it to be a bit more easily trackable - rumor wise... with perhaps the latest rumors available on specific topics, as well as a more easily searchable database.... but that comes with time and some coding.... and I'll get to it... maybe by MWNY, we'll have things a bit better...
overall, I'm pretty pleased though, and enjoy the rumor community.

Yes, Parallels and VMware are better products, but that is not the point. Has no one else noticed the number of products Microsoft is canceling for the Mac. I do not believe that Microsoft sees a market for the Macintosh. This of course is purely a business perspective.
I for one think Apple will be taught a lesson in respect. The only logical solution is to kill off Mac Office universal binary support. If they want to run on the Intel platform, they can run on emulation.
It would not be much of a loss if Microsoft decided to pull the plug. Don't think they haven't taught about it. A three percent market share or 19 million desktop users does not even come close to the numbers that still use Windows 2000, never mind Windows 98. I of course don't wish this to happen, but it is one logical outcome.

That is correct. I've subscribed to their tethering plan but the personal hotspot item doesnt show up under settings/network. I'm guessing at this point that something about the jailbreak is suppressing this - or perhaps the mywi install?
I'd call up AT&T.
They might need to reset your accounts tethering access.

In reference to 'iTV', Steve only said that "802.11" would be used for wireless communication. Currently, Apple employs 802.11g "Airport Extreme" in its products, but the lack of specificity may hint at an adoption of the upcoming 802.11n standard.
Am I the only one that thinks this is a lame looking sandwich box? Also, I have my stuff on my Mac in another room. That's switched on, whilst I sitting in the living room watching my stuff on a TV, isn't that a bit pointless? Why not make it hard drive compatible or even put the content on the box?
More money than sense, and not much sense at that. Big screen TV's are a rip off, and the so-called 'sexy iTV' is quite the opposite.

I currently have a iMac, a Time Capsule and an Airport express that I have used to extend my wireless signal. I has been working perfectly for about 6 months. Now it has stopped working. The Time Capsule will not recognize my ethernet connection and is flashing yellow. I know my ethernet is working because my kids computer can get on the internet fine. But I can't get on the internet from my iMac. I have tried resetting the modem, unplugging, soft reset of TC as well as hard reset and no help. How can I get the TC to recognize it is connected to the ethernet? It may be simple but I am computer challenged. Any help would be appreciated.

Because your "main" window is a NSPanel, it's responding NO to canBecomeMainWindow. In Cocoa terms, you don't have a main window. That's why applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed: is being sent to your application delegate when the user closes the about box. You're unconditionally responding with YES, so you're app terminates.
You have 2 choice.
a) Subclass NSPanel so canBecomeMainWindow responds YES. That way you will have a main window and your application delegate won't be sent applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed: when the about box is closed.
b) Or check to see if you're HUD panel is open in applicationShouldTerminateAfterLastWindowClosed: and respond NO if it is.
EDIT: What kainjow said. :)

OK... I am not sure if it needs to get sent out, but if it does, you're gonna be outta luck for a little while. I need to get my pb repaired too, but because of the hurrican, the houston plant has been completely evacuated and all air shipments have been stopped. So I wouldn't worry about taking it in for like another week or so. I am supposed to send my Apple Store Guy a e-mail later in the week to get an update about when I should come in. So, yeah I would call the Apple store before you do anything. Oh, and sent out repairs are usually estimated at 7-10 days. ;)
