Okay, now you're just antagonizing people...lol
Widgets? Blah...waste of time/space IMO. 4G? No carrier yet has true 4G. Sprint I guess? They're the closest. Most the others are all 3.5G
Well. You have answered my questions and thank you for that.
This is all the argument that I could ever hear from my colleagues who are not pro-apple or are anti-apple.
This is what you would here from an android fanboy as well.
I really like android. The reason I have Nexus S; though I was forced to some extent.
For me, there's no way for an android phone over an iPhone. In the US? Yes due to carrier interference but not otherwise.
OK? :D

$70 for a mouse? Give me a break.
I just bought a two button scrollwheel mouse for $1.67. There's no reason for it to cost more than that. $10 is too much.
Well, there is a reason...wireless (particularly bluetooth). Just because you don't want it doesn't mean other people do.

It doesn't even get above the fold on Apple's homepage.
The fold is an old concept...you sound like my boss! :p

Um, are you not the same person who applauded the Columbine shootings and wished you had the balls to do something similar back in the day?
I sure am. But I would never have shot people who had never harmed me in the first place, and I suppose the same applies to Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.
Oh, and even though nothing constructive comes out of the partying, it can be fun anyway. I'm not telling anyone to stop - on the contrary, I would probably join the celebrations if I had been there now.

2+ full size optical drives opppsed to a single slow notebook drive
2+ hard drive bays
Card reader
Easy CPU upgrading
Easy RAM upgrading
Upgradable x16 PCI-Express slot compared to underclocked fixed notebook GPU
3+ PCI/ PCI-E x1 slots for upgrading to new devices
Choice of display
iMac is perfect for most home users.. few "home users"(people who buy a computer and use it, not super up to date about it) upgrade anything..maybe RAM and Harddrive but thats really it

So the iPhone went from being pummeled by Android to now just being badly beaten.
That is Awesome.
iOS for phones was being pummeled by Android. iPhone is kicking the heck out of every phone on the market individually.

802.11n isn't due for ratification until 2008. There is a "Draft N v 2.0" due out next year that is supposedly close to what 802.11n will be but there's no guarantee anything will work until the final spec is released in 2008.
Yep, but the new iMacs are shipping with 802.11n's installed. Plus I'd imagine that Apple has its own standards about being compatible with its own stuff (iTV, etc).

We lost our spot again. We passed Team Lithuania for a brief time as yesterday was a big day for us and a bad one for them.
oh ok. well we are now #60. so someone else must have passed us as well. looks like we're safe there for a couple months at least

Why would it?? It's not a feature release.
#.#.X releases are bug fix releases.
Maybe because 4.2.6 had feature releases inside the update.

Fear and greed, as always the two opposing driving forces behind the markets. Both are emotions and neither are rational. Just something to consider whenever you are tempted to say that the sky is either the limit, or it's falling. Chances are, neither is true.

The ways this has been described don't sound much like Apple. I guess they could build it into iTunes in some fairly fluid way, but still. There has to be more to the data center.
Nor do I see how the data center could allow people to upload non-purchased music. Too much required space, just look at your library size and do the math. iTunes has a massive user base.

I've compiled a list of changes that I've noticed:
1. The view buttons in Finder have switched back to the "old" style where the options not selected are de-pressed.
2. The iCal leather gradient that everyone hated has been changed to be lighter (picture attached). Honestly, I think it looks a LOT better now. Just less "in your face."
3. The To-Do list in iCal is now referred to as "Reminders."
4. Apple has forced all applications to use the new iOS scroll bar. If that app hasn't been updated to support the new iOS scroll bars, then their is a container around them (attached image).
5. Some changes in Mail must have been made because you are required to update your database before launch.

I could care less what the microsoft's EULA agreement says. If I'm able to install it I could care less if it is illegal. As long as it is only on one computer then I'm doing it. And they wonder why people pirate their software...

I'm a little confused. People want to play games on this?
Would not be my first choice for gaming (not that I play games, but I did do flight sims once)
Is there anything else I should be concerned about? Maybe external monitor resolution? Movies?....I don't think so.
Big problem for intensive video stuff perhaps? but then again; an Air?

The current Apple TV is a great product at a great price. They just need to expand on it by adding more features and more capability. Open it up for apps, especially when combined with an iPod Touch, iPad, iPhone and you could have an amazing product.

the iPhone doesn't compete against Android. The iPhone competes against all of the handsets running Android. And it's killing them. The 3GS as the second best-selling handset? That's frankly embarrassing for Android.
Yes, the iPhone does compete against Android. The last time I went into a AT&T or Verizon store, this was obvious. To say that the iPhone does not compete against Android is silly.
the most popular handset
the 2nd most popular handsetBecause there is only two hardware choices, the iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS. Making this argument is so empty, in that it does not take into account the reasons behind it.
the most popular mobile OSHello Mr. Straw man. The article was about iPhone; if you read it it states "covering U.S. mobile phone sales". Now, if by mobile OS, you are also adding in the iPad, that is debatable. I've been a iPad 3G owner since April 30th and I can tell you that I do not consider the iPad a mobile device. Sure, its easy to carry, but to lump in its sales with phone handset sales is a stretch. If you are making that stretch, how about adding netbooks into the mix as well?
the most popular tablet. Again, the article was about the iPhone vs. Andriod handset sales, not the tablet sales. Another Straw Man approach to a comment about iPhone handset sales.
getting "badly beaten"?
When your sales numbers for phones are ~50% of that of your competitor; whereas a few years ago they were barely a blip, then yes that means they are getting kicked in the teeth in handset OS sales.

The program in the US Army (basic training) was designed to burn 5000 calories a day. Basically you were moving 16 hours a day. Just can think of doing 12k or 30k calories a day.
Anyone know how many calories someone burns running a marathon?
An "average" sustainable long distance pace (12km/h, about 8mph) will burn through about 1000 calories an hour. I suspect she's not running quite that much ;)
I seem to remember people out in the Arctic / Antartic tend to eat ~ 6000 calories a day, since so much is lost due to cold, etc. Maybe she lives in her fridge most of the day? (Which would explain the calorie intake too!) :)
