Decide the minimum YOU are willing to part with it for.
Set that as the minimum bid, no reserve. The market will decide how much it is worth. Maybe pick a "pie in the sky" (yet possible) Buy-it-now price.
For example, if I was selling my Macintosh 128K (which I'm NOT, you can't have it even AFTER prying it from my cold dead hands,) I would put it on with a minimum bid of $250 (what I paid for it,) and a Buy-It-Now of $1000.
Ridiculously high starting bids cut down on the early bidders; and reserves cut down on the mid-term bidders. When you cut down on bidders at all, you cut down the maximum price. (For all but the ultra-rarest of items, where it'll go for insane amounts no matter what price you put, like an Apple I.)

Are these iTunes Music Store AACs (protected) or ones you did? If they're protected you have to burn them to an audio CD and then rip them as mp3. I don't know of any other way. If they're AACs you encoded, then whatever you used (Quicktime I would assume) should be able to convert them. iTunes will do it, but you said you wanted to use Windows so I'm not sure.
Hmm...now I re-read your post and wonder. Why do you have to convert them to get them off the iPod? There are utilities that will transfer them (at least a dozen for Mac, must be some Windows as well). Or did I misunderstand something?

I hope the rumored iPhone comes to T-Mobile, since that's who I currently have my plan with.

So I am using redsn0w and I checked install Cydia and change my baseband to iPad for the unlock but as I follow the directions on iClarified, I get to holding down the home button and then it says "fetching iPad firmware" and then it ends. Any idea why that is?
Did you download Ipad 1 firmware 3.2.2 onto your PC?

Thats a pretty drastic reaction for a misspelt word. The amount of wounds that he inflicted as well to that spelling mistake.

thanx jiminaus,
when i typed
which perl
/opt/local/bin/perl
i tried to update that with macports, macports failed to do that.
so now,when i type
which perl
/usr/bin/perl
and when i type "/usr/bin/perl -V" it says that "useithreads=define"
so we are ok now.
but, the command "perl -V" instead of "/usr/bin/perl -V"
it says /opt/local/bin/perl: No such file or directory
so, could you please tell me how i can point to the perl implementation installed in /usr/bin/perl instead of returning me the macports location ?
thanx a lot

I like the design of these better than the G5, and I don't want to spend several hundred dollars more on something that I don't like as well. I want to get the absolute fastest one they made. Would that be a 20" 1Ghz model? Any known issues on these machines? I will be using it for freelance graphic design work. For the last year and a half, I have used my 12" 800mHz G4 ibook (640mb ram), so I know performance will not be an issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I believe the fastest iMac G4 (http://www.apple-history.com/?page=gallery&model=imac_usb_2&performa=off&sort=date&order=ASC) was 20" 1.25GHz.

You can setup AppleShare with a serial cable and install software this way. SHare the CD-ROM drive over the network and install your software onto the Duo over the serial cable via AppleShare with the chooser. This is pretty slow though and you will have to be patient.

Wow. Let's hope it looks better than that diagram. Anyways this would be the ultimate iPod (Could be a 4 or 5 inch screen). Of course, the screen needs to be more scratch resistant than previous generations. And they have to bump up the resolution on their iTunes store. But I'd be surprised if we see this anytime soon.

they are having trouble with the A5 bootrom. Looks bad.
But a userland exploit works, at least for 4.3 and partially for 4.3.x
Yhe reason the 4.3 jailbreak has yet to be released is that the hack contains apple code, and distrubuting the jailbreak would be piracy.
So i think he is trying to write his own code to exchange the apple parts.

Yes, it is. Just create a HFS+ partition and install Lion there.

I can see how it might be useful, but at the same time, it clutters everything up (especially mission control) and makes it difficult to find the document I'm working on.
Make sure to file a feedback/report on your complaint. I think you are right and it may not make sense to show so much. Maybe a much smaller subset.

By "Sorry" I mean the SF 49ers are going to win the 2012 Superbowl, the iPhone price is dropping $200 tomorrow, and tonight's winning powerball lotto numbers are 3-5-17-1-28-49, and the iPhone 5 has already been jailbroken, hehe

I want to stick my iphone 4 on a stalk mount which plugs into a console power source in my car and I want the thing to charge my iphone 4. I see numerous charging stalk mounts for older iphones, but, they specifically state somewhere in the description that they DON'T charge iphone 4's. It's been nearly a year since the 4 was released. What is the problem?

I hate how you have to download the entire OS every time there's a small update like this. 666MB for a few bug fixes... Also, what's up with the 666MB? Maybe we should stay away from this update guys lol.

I used redsn0w to JB and it was fairly easy. I made the jump from 4.0.1 to 4.3.2
iClassifieds has a good tut on it.
+1 on redsn0w, super easy.

Not quite as idyllic as it sounds I'm afraid, though it should be nice! We're going to a business conference at West Palm Beach and we'll have a day there before it starts plus most of the last day to travel back to MIA, only about 80 miles. There are two national parks near MIA but places need to be reasonably accessible by car as we won't have any proper walking gear with us.
Anyone know this area and can recommend places to visit (and photograph of course)? I've not been there before and would like to make the most of it.
Given the location, I'm thinking a polarising filter would be a good investment. I don't have one at the moment as I haven't had a suitable lens until recently.
Any other tips? Many thanks!
